I’m trying to read the RSS feed for a blogger blog,, whose feed is

I tried using SharePoint 2007’s built in rss viewer as my reader to integrate the feed into my site. I added SharePoint’s OOTB RSS reader to my site and added the feed. I received an error message:

An unexpected error occurred processing your request. Check the logs for details and correct the problem.

Checking the logs, I found more info about the error:

RssWebPart: Exception handed to HandleRuntimeException.HandleException System.Xml.XmlException: '>' is an unexpected token. The expected token is '"' or '''. Line 1, position 46…

I’m assuming that this is a problem with the feed that blogger is providing. What can I do to fix this? Do the folks at blogger need to fix this for me?

In researching the problem, I have already tried:

Adding the proxy address to the web.config file for the site. This addresses the fact that some sites providing RSS feeds do not allow a missing "User-Agent" property in the header of the HTTP Request and return an empty xml stream to the SP rss viewer. Forcing the SharePoint site to connect through a proxy adds the “User-Agent” property.

I tried installing the RSS feed reader web part from codeplex on my site and using it to read the feed instead. This reader caused the entire page to crash and error out when a blogger RSS feed is configured. All I can do is close the webpart.

When I tried both the above mentioned RSS feed reader web parts with feeds from other sites such as Catholic News Service and CNN, I was able to read the feed.
